Who does the work?
Environmental Assessments (EA) and Nutrient Management Plans (NMP) will be developed and implemented by CLEANmp – West approved Service Providers. To be an approved Service Provider an individual must meet the following conditions:
1. In order to be approved as a CLEANmp Service Provider, an individual must have the following pre-requisite qualifications:
- An individual must be a registered Technical Service Provider (TSP) listed on the Natural Resources Conservation Service’s TechReg website (http://techreg.nrcs.gov/). The individual must be a TSP registered for either CNMP Plan Development in at least one of the following categories: Land Treatment, Manure and Wastewater Handling and Storage, Nutrient Management, Total Plan; or Land Treatment; or Nutrient Management - Organic and Inorganic; or Manure and Wastewater Handling and Storage. In order qualify to develop a nutrient management plan (NMP) for an applicant (Producer) that has an Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) a CLEANmp Service Provider must have TSP registration under the following category: CNMP Plan Development-Total Plan.
- The individual must be physically capable of walking continuously for several hours and maneuvering in small/tight places (i.e., alley ways in production buildings), under typical weather conditions.
- The individual must have at least daily access to the Internet, e-mail, and a printer.
2. If an individual meets the pre-requisite qualifications, they may start the process of becoming an approved CLEANmp Service Provider. The requirements are the same regardless if an individual is pursuing approval EAs, NMPs or both. This individual will need to complete the following steps:
- The potential Service Provider must complete a CLEANmp Information Form and upload a current resume on the CLEANmp website.
- The potential Service Provider must sign a CLEANmp Service Provider Performance Agreement.
- The potential Service Provider must sign a CLEANmp Service Provider Confidentiality Agreement.
- The potential Service Provider must agree to abide by and follow the CLEANmp Code of Ethics. The CLEANmp code of ethics is presented in Section 12 of the CLEANmp Program Document CLEANmp West Program Service Provider Policy.
- The potential Service Provider must provide SES a copy of a valid government issued form of picture identification.
